I continue to juggle the responsibilities of running a busy endocrinology practice with the continued desire to reach out to those individuals who financially or logistically are not able to be my patients. I wish to acknowledge and extend my thanks to my Practice Administrator, Gordon Blocker, who provides the technical and creative expertise, to get my message out to my readers all across the United States.
I find that people are eager for this type of practical self-help educational information. I don't pretend to have all the answers and none of this is a substitute for the care you need to be getting from your own physician. However, I strongly feel that an informed patient is better equipped to participate with his or her physician in deciding on the best care for their particular health problem. I am simply passing on practical information that has been helpful in my own patients in my 27 years of medical practice.
Many chronic illnesses are caused or at least aggravated by poor lifestyle habits. In my medical practice, the patients who achieve superlative results are those willing to take responsibility for their own health and work with me to achieve the goals that we set forth. Low testosterone levels may begin in men as early as the 40’s and 50’s. This been referred to as male menopause or Andropause.
