THYROID ULTRASOUND
Thyroid ultrasound is an extremely safe, useful diagnostic tool to evaluate thyroid nodules or cysts and goiters.  Thyroid nodules are most often benign but a small percentage can be thyroid cancer.  Thyroid nodules greater than 1 cm usually require fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNA).  Ultrasound can be used to improve the accuracy of the FNA procedure. Ultrasound can also be used to monitor benign thyroid nodules to determine if they are changing in size.

TRANSVAGINAL ULTRASOUND (TVS)
TVS is used to evaluating abnormal uterine bleeding in premenopausal women or menopausal women on hormone replacement. It is a painless way to precisely measure the endometrial stripe, which represents the endometrium, the lining of the uterus.  It will also tell us if there are fibroids or whether there are any pelvic or ovarian masses.  In a menopausal woman, the ovaries if present, should be small and shrunken.

CAROTID INTIMA MEDIA TESTING
CIMT is a new noninvasive test that is being recommended by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology to screen for heart disease in apparently healthy individuals ages 45 or greater. The test is safe, painless and takes about twenty minutes. The sonographer measures the combined thicknesses of the intima and medial layers of the carotid artery walls.
